【 Tsujihan ( つじ半 ) 】 seafood bowl restaurant

Introduction page for the popular "Tsujihan" where you can eat delicious seafood bowls
About Tsujihan( つじ半 ) Nihonbashi store
"Tsujihan" is especially popular with foreigners.
It's incredibly delicious and great value for money.
It's always crowded, with lines out the door.
After enjoying a delicious seafood bowl, you can also enjoy a bowl of ochazuke (rice topped with tea) in a sea bream-based broth, which is a real treat! (´▽`)
If you're ever in Japan, be sure to give it a try!♪
Address
You can get to Tsujihan (Nihonbashi branch) from Nihonbashi, Tokyo Station, or Kyobashi Station.
Tokyo Station is easy to get to from anywhere, so it might be easiest to choose.
1F Hisae Building, 3-1-15 Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo ”Tsujihan”
There are various ways to get there, but the easiest way to get to Tsujihan is from the Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station.
It's like this.

There is a department store called "Takashimaya Main Building" nearby, so it might be a good idea to use that as a landmark.
Menu
The menu is basically seafood bowls.
These are called "Zitakudon" (Luxury Bowls).
You can choose from the ranks: "Matsu," "Take," and "Tokujo."
And there's even an English menu with instructions on how to eat them!

The instructions for eating it are written as follows.
Of course, you can eat it however you like.
To summarize the way I sometimes eat it,
- Season with egg yolk soy sauce.
- Save a little of the sesame-flavored sashimi that comes with the seafood bowl, which is served separately, and use it for ochazuke.
- It's okay if you don't save the sashimi for ochazuke.
- The broth for ochazuke is delicious enough, so you don't need to save the sashimi.
- Just before you finish eating the seafood bowl, save a little bit of rice to make ochazuke.
- There's no need to save any rice to make ochazuke.
Additional rice is available.

The sashimi on the top right is for chazuke.
I think chazuke is delicious with the dashi stock, so sashimi isn't necessary, so I always eat this sashimi with rice first (lol)
Then pour the egg yolk soy sauce on the bottom right over the bowl and eat it.
UP

It can be summed up in one word: delicious.
Once you try this, you'll understand why it's packed and there are long lines every day.

UP

With so much sea urchin and salmon roe for this price, it's truly a "luxurious bowl."
As the grade increases, the amount of sea urchin and salmon roe increases, but if you don't particularly like sea urchin or salmon roe, the cheapest "Ume" is still delicious.
Once you've finished it all, it's time for chazuke.
You can get extra rice.
But if you can't eat a lot, it's a good idea to leave some rice and have it made into chazuke.

Business hours
AM10:00〜PM9:30
Last Order : 9:00
Closed days : New year holiday season
Other irregular holidays
As far as I know, it's rare that they're closed, but it might be a good idea to check before you go.
The store opens at 10am, but there are already people waiting outside before it opens.
It's not guaranteed, but if you line up 20 to 30 minutes before, there's a good chance you'll be able to enter the store as soon as it opens. It is very crowded at lunchtime, so you may have to wait for quite a while.
Others
This restaurant is extremely popular because it's delicious and cheap.
More than half of the customers are foreigners, there is an English menu, and you can often see the staff speaking English with customers when taking orders. So you can go there with peace of mind.
つじ半 ( Tsujihan ) also has an official website.
Please see the article on Tsujihan Honten here

Also check out the branches of the popular "Keika Ramen"

That's why "Tsujihan" is one of my favorite restaurants, and I also go to other branches (the "Midtown branch" in Akasaka).
The food is just as delicious as the main branch.
If you're a foreigner visiting Japan for sightseeing or other reasons and want to eat seafood bowls, you should definitely try つじ半"Tsujihan" at least once~♪
