▶ What I Tried
Miso Nikomi Udon | 味噌煮込みうどん

This miso nikomi udon appears to be one of Tamacho Honten’s signature dishes.Served piping hot in a clay pot, the udon is perfect for warming up your body as you blow on each bite to cool it down.In summer, though, you may end up sweating quite a bit while eating it.
The broth is rich, deep, and full of flavor, making the noodles even more satisfying with every bite.
Shrimp Tempura Kishimen | 海老天の温かいきしめん

Many customers seem to order the miso nikomi udon, but the regular udon with a soy sauce-based broth is also very good.
The flat kishimen noodles pair especially well with the broth, which has a clear bonito flavor and a light but satisfying taste.
And of course, tempura goes perfectly with this kind of dashi broth.
▶ Final Thoughts
Because of its location near Tokyo Station, the restaurant can get quite crowded on weekends.
English is available on the menu, making it easier for international visitors to order.
