Rich Duck Soba | 濃厚鴨そば

Chicken paitan ramen at Kyudaime Keisuke in Ginza, Tokyo, with a rich creamy chicken broth, sliced meat, greens and naruto.

Kyudaime Keisuke offers both a regular duck soba and a rich duck soba, but the richer version seems to be especially popular.I also almost always ordered the Rich Duck Soba.

As the name suggests, the broth has a deep, concentrated duck flavor and plenty of umami, making it especially satisfying.

The condiments are served separately on a small plate, so you can add them little by little and adjust the flavor as you eat.

Soboro Rice Bowl | そぼろ丼

Soboro rice bowl at Kyudaime Keisuke in Ginza, Tokyo, topped with seasoned minced meat and green onions.

This soboro rice bowl has a fairly strong seasoning, so it may be a little divisive depending on your taste.Personally, I like it this way because the bold flavor goes really well with rice and makes it easy to keep eating.

Whenever I come here, this is the soboro rice bowl I almost always order together with the ramen.

Several popular ramen shops are lined up along the same street, and Kyudaime Keisuke may be a little less crowded than some of the others, possibly because the prices are slightly higher.

That said, the ramen itself is genuinely delicious.

Personally, there was even a period when Kyudaime Keisuke was the only ramen shop on this street that I kept coming back to.
