Ginger Shoyu Chuka Soba | 生姜醤油中華そば

A bowl of Nagaoka-style ginger shoyu ramen served at Nagaoka Shokudo in Tokyo Ramen Yokocho near Tokyo Station.

It has the light, clean taste of a classic shoyu ramen, but the ginger comes through quite strongly.

To be honest, the soup itself feels fairly standard to me, but the way the ginger is used works really well and makes the overall flavor much more enjoyable.

Because it is located in Tokyo Ramen Yokocho, it can get crowded during peak hours.

Once the lunch rush is over, though, my impression is that you can usually get a seat without having to wait.
