Classic Taishoken Ramen in Ochanomizu

Ochanomizu Taishoken carries on the classic style that made Taishoken famous, with both tsukemen and chuka soba remaining popular choices.

Personally, I have always had a soft spot for Taishoken’s chuka soba, and this is another place where you can enjoy that familiar, satisfying style.

Chuka Soba | 中華そば

Chuka soba with chashu, egg, menma and naruto served at Ochanomizu Taishoken in Tokyo

Compared with some other Taishoken shops, the soup here feels softer and easier to drink.

Depending on the Taishoken location, the pepper can be stronger or the flavor can feel a little sharper, but personally, I really like how smooth and approachable the soup is here.

It has a comforting, relaxing flavor that makes you want to keep drinking it.

In addition to the classic tsukemen, the menu also includes curry-based dishes and plenty of other options.

There is a good variety to choose from, so it is the kind of place where you can enjoy trying something different each time.
