The Ramen I Once Couldn't Get Enough Of

Around 20 years ago, Takahashi had long queues every day. I was so hooked that I ate here almost daily (lol).

The queues aren't as long these days, but this is the ramen I once couldn't get enough of.

Chuka Soba(中華そば)

A bowl of shio ramen served at Chuka Soba Takahashi in Iidabashi, Tokyo.

The chuka soba comes with a Jantan seasoned egg. Unlike a soft-boiled ramen egg, it is hard-boiled, with a fully set yolk. Its Chinese-style seasoning makes it delicious even on its own.

Chuka Soba with Jantan Egg(中華そば・ジャンタン入り)

Chuka soba topped with a halved Jantan egg, chopped green onions, bamboo shoots and nori at Chuka Soba Takahashi in Iidabashi.

The shop is small, but service is quick and seats tend to open up quickly.
It closes once the noodles sell out, so keep that in mind if you’re planning an evening visit.
