Chicken Paitan Soba | 鶏soba

Creamy chicken paitan ramen with chicken chashu and crispy burdock at Ramen Zagin KITTE Marunouchi

The Chicken Paitan Soba has the rich, creamy character you would expect from a chicken paitan ramen.

One of the most distinctive toppings is the crispy fried burdock. It starts out crunchy, but gradually softens as it absorbs the soup, giving the bowl a noticeable change in texture as you eat.

The ramen also comes with both pork chashu and chicken chashu. The chicken chashu is especially moist and tender, with the soft texture that has become popular in many modern ramen shops.

Overall, it is a well-presented bowl with a creamy chicken-based soup and a variety of textures from the toppings.

Local Chicken Shoyu Soba | 地鶏醤油soba

Shoyu ramen with chashu, egg yolk, green onions and bamboo shoots at Ramen Zagin KITTE Marunouchi

Personally, I preferred the shoyu ramen.

The chicken-based broth has a gentle but noticeable depth of flavor, and it is very easy to drink without feeling heavy.

A raw egg yolk is served on top, adding a richer and creamier element once mixed into the soup.

The bamboo shoots are also very good, with a soft texture and a pleasant bite.

Overall, the flavor is mild and comforting, making this the kind of ramen I could imagine enjoying even when I am tired or recovering from a hangover.

Tori Soba Zagin KITTE Marunouchi is a convenient ramen spot near Tokyo Station with a clean, modern atmosphere.

One thing I noticed was the serving time. I visited twice, and on both occasions the ramen took quite a while to arrive, even though the restaurant did not seem especially crowded.

Still, the location is very convenient if you are around Tokyo Station or Marunouchi.
